I used tar and glue remover on mine to get some stickers and stubborn glue off. Most of that type of stuff comes from our local paint supplier but I will ask if he gets it from anywhere specific. Try your nearest supplier or maybe Brown Bros.

I had a go with Nitromors and it worked very well indeed. The problem with other solvents is they can't get to the glue behind the reflective stuff. Obviously you have to be very carefull not to get Nitromors anywhere else but masking tape is adequate...it's not nice when you get it in your eyes!
