Hello Christian,
I think we may have exchanged a couple of posts many years ago, I always regret having gone to London on the day I had especially set aside to see your 5T when it was for sale in 2008 I think. Well, I am sure it went to a good home, albeit in Germany I think? I get up to the top of Norfolk every so often when I see family and could check out the 5Ts. I don't need any parts just at the moment, but I of sheer curiosity and to report back I would be happy to have a look. Do we know the location, google street view etc? |

Thanks for the suggestion Garry,
I had a quick shufty on Google street view. Funnily enough there are a fair few older cars in gardens up and down that road...but I did not catch a FT/E. Not a very reliable means of checking...but I guess no positive sightings just yet. |

I do remember Maxustaxus - it was a very good 5T, at that time I collected some really nice 'old new stock' stuff and fitted it - headlights etc. It went to Ireland, into a collection apparently... Below is my 5T and 5E...and a really rotten one which had some good spares!

No, I don't regret it as at the time I needed the money....which I used to fund a couple of other car restorations - one of which I did pretty well from. So now I have the facilities to keep a 200 long term.
What was great about the one I had back in 2008 is that it was unrestored, never been off the road (see photo below - still with gold alloys!). The drive back though London during rush hour in a very tired 200 was crazy...but it made it! I do still have a few nice 5T bits lying around... Last edited by randall977; 17-11-16 at 09:06 PM. |
