don't presume anything on this forum - we are all of very varied audi knowledge here!

what year(s) are you interested in? i used to own an M reg with the 2.5litre diesel engine. manual box, front wheel drive. big lazy engined beast, so so on the gas (30+mpg). rotten front wheel arches and patches on the tailgate - usual stuff. oh and make sure the cambelt has been done - i didn't and bye bye trusty old bus!

no more autos for me, thanks - the last one was a v8 rover sd1 many moons ago and the throttle cable jammed when performing a right turn burnout which resulted in a 180 degree spin and blew the back tyre out when slamming against the kerb!

the old ladies that i'd done it in front of rightly shook their fists at the silly twenty-something year old driver!

expect the cvt gearbox to already have problems or prepare to have them sooner or later. Not one of audis finest moments, saying that neither is the engine.
