Default Audi 100 2.6 running problem

Hi. I have a problem with my 1993 Audi. When it's cold and when driving around town, when I take my foot off the throttle car is still going for about 3 seconds, but on motorway everything is fine. I checked for leaks around inlet manifold and vacuum system seems to be in order too, and another thing is at some point when engine is cold RPM will jump between 1100rpm and 1200rpm for some time and then stop. I just have no idea what it can be. Maybe someone can help me with that? Thanks in advance.

EDIT : Engine code is ABC.

Have you tried cleaning out the idle stabilizer valve with WD40? : http://www.12v.org/engine/index.php?...n=cl&view=rear

No I have not. Thanks for advice, will do that for sure, and update on what is happening.

I did clean it, but nothing changed. Bought a new one, still, no luck!

Question Might be worth,trying?

Temp sender that controls,the ISV?
I swopped(and cleaned) my ISV three times and no changed.Renewed temp sender and fixed the problem.

Injection is nice but I'd rather be blown

Yes, I have been thinking about checking temprature sensor. According to AutoData there has to be certain resistance between connectors at certain temprature. Can I just dip it in water and check resistance? Will it not damage it?

Make sure the throttle cable is nice and free and not over adjusted.

Check/clean throttle butterflies).

And finally operation of 'closed throttle' switch.

Checked throttle body cable and cleaned throttle body. If ISV is idle valve then I changed that.
What do you mean by operation of closed throttle switch?
