You would have thought that the war in Iraq would have brought
the price of fuel down? You know oil wells being secured...deals
being done.

Looks like everyone has and is being shafted.........over a million dead over
there (payed with there lives)....and us paying a high price through our
pockets. Its a joke.......someone is havin a laugh at everyones expense.

Were all losers........except for the Oil Companies and there investers..
including a certain Military of an allied country.....laughing all the way to
the bank.

Dont forget....Bankers are laughing just as loud.

Here in NZ it's $2.21 for 95 and $1.78 for diesel, but then again you have to pay diesel road user charges ($250) per 500km.

We have a Czech au-pair, and the thing not to forget is that we would love to pay those prices, but the pay they receive is substantially lower, so this is a bigger proportion of their income.

And so, where's that problem to buy car with way nicer sounding petrol V6 engine and install LPG system there instead of buying more expensive car with diesel engine which is more expensive in service as well? Ok, in the UK diesels have the unfair advantage of cheaper insurance...

Just a thought;
Our country is in a severe financial mess, yet our ministers willingly send aid worth £billions to other countries, including India and China who have 2 of the fastest growing world economies, and China invests those £'s and other aid currencies in, amongst other things, their space programme and nuclear dildos.
How about, radical thought, we DON'T send them all that money, sort our own problems first and then help them (but with judicious care, making sure its for public infrastructure etc)?
No.
Sorry.
Stupid idea.
It'll never catch on.

Apparently it costs 70p to fill the average petrol tank in Venezuela.the government actually subsidise it to the tune of 9 billion dollars per year.Thats double the health/education cost!!

There w go then!
Stop all this 'aid' that goes to other countries (corrupt officials and leaders) and we too can have cheaper fuel!

That's depending on how one is looking at it. But because they are not buying the oil abroad, it should be taken as "the country have got 9 billion dollars less per year".

This reminds me about 2007. - yankees were panicking about fuel prices something about 2,50$ per gallon, while we here, in latvia, where average income is around 300-400 quid and petrol is around 20% cheaper than UK, laughed about them.
