umm - sometimes it's " better the devil you know " ??
There's a lot wrong with the EU but there's also a lot wrong with several other options, ( see above Scotland issue for one.) Government seems to get distracted very easily. The British Steel pension fund issue seems to have gone quiet? Government wants to change the scheme? How about finding out why there's a hole and vigorously chasing those 'guilty' e.g. Tata not been putting money in ? Take shortfall out of the 'grants' we give India. Why the hell are we giving them money anyway, they have a space programme etc etc so they should be using THAT money for their other issues not getting it from us ?? They are talking about new legislation for heavier sentences for driving deaths. Why ? Because the average sentence is just over four years. BUT the current legislation allows up to 14 years jail. So the problem is in the Courts not the Legislation so stand up and tell the Judges to do better , or else, not waste more time and money in Parliament ! Grrrr Farage at least stirs it all up. My wife used to have to go to a meeting every couple of months, bosses there to 'advise' what should be done and by when ( ususally silly deadlines but hey....) . There was always a chap like Farage there, right 'trouble maker' but boy - did he keep the boss and several local Councillors on their toes each time. I think Boris may be a bit like that but ....not sure I'd want him as PM !! Last edited by ChrisG; 27-05-16 at 04:02 PM. |
