Default New engine question (non Audi)

Hi all,
If you had an engine built from scratch, and you asked the engine builder for 180bhp spec, and after rolling road tune showed 155bhp, is that expected?

wheels or flywheel??

180 at the flywheel could equate to 155 at the wheels on a rolling road.

flywheel, wheels 122bhp.
Engine builer said set ignition @ 30 deg @ 3500rpm,
Rolling road tuner said 30 deg ignition would loose power, so i think it was set at about 25ish, engine builder says that mild and he should have set @ 30 and took it to 7500 rpm, not as he droped off @ 6500 rpm

As long as you're not doing as builder says, you cannot blame him.

Anyway, is it 8v engine? Does it have carb or L-jet? Vacuum ignition?
