the main issue with my car is the idle was too...

the main issue with my car is the idle was too high all the time and the fuel economy is bad, so if your car wasn't exhibiting either of these problems, then I'll go for it.

2.0 16v ACE throttle position sensor

original part number is 048 133 154

throttle position sensor that fits on to throttle body assembly. Tried to order a new one but there are none to be had.

My B4 Coupe (2.0 16v) has a high idle and returns about 20mpg with mixed driving.

My mechanic hooked it up to his VAG 1551 machine and it fed out the following:

"00516 030
Idling switch-F60...

Yeah, I wasn't going to spend any money on this car but it's costing me about thirty quid in unnecessary fuel a month, so false economy not to get it serviced by the sounds of things

And the dipstick collar is loose, but I've never noticed any...

As above - who makes the OE heater matrix for a B4 coupe (2.0 16v) and what's the part number?

I'm trying to source one but want to make sure I get the right thing.

So I suddenly started getting a hissing sound and steam from behind the dashboard of my B4 coupe. Pulled over and called the AA.

AA guy bypassed the matrix using a wee bit of copper pipe.
