my brother in law has left me a pair of hardly used timberland boots.....he must think i have war canoes for feet

Shame they are not the sandy coloured ones. I always found those really really usefull when totally pissed. All you had to do was look down and if there were wee droplets on the ends of the toes you knew you didn't need to go again for a while.

Some Timberland boots are classics, like these:
