Cryptic door mechanism UR

Hi
Can anyone hel me I have an1985 Quattro UR which I am reassembling I have hit a wall and I was hoping someone in Audi land may be able to shed some light on what I am doing wrong.

When I got the car it was in boxes so I did not dismantle it the problem is with the door latch mechanism I cannot for the life of me work how it goes back has anyone got a photo or advise me on reassemling the locking mechanism and the linkage bars.

To take a photo of the inside of a door is not going to be easy.

Hi Colin if you have nothing to add go and wash the dishes instead like I do.

That's one of the best diagrams showing how the door related stuff goes together i think I've seen.
If you can't get it from that you might be better off putting the car into a garage or specialists to sort out.
You won't get better help than that diagram.

Hi where can I get a copy of the diagram. My problem is where the plastic connection system behind the latch plate I have a rod hanging from the door lock mechanism and no where to locate the end of it in to the plastic rod connection set up.
