Default A4 1.8T Sport Avant 1999: Repair or spares
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : A4 (B5) Avant 1.8T Sport 1999
Price : £170
Location : Thame, Oxfordshire
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook) ,MOT'd

Edit: This needs to go, and I'd hate my local breakers to get it ; so price reduced.

For sale is my 1999 Audi A4 Avant 1.8T Sport (facelift version) 150 bhp version. APU engine code 5 speed gearbox

2 owners: Family owned from new: My brother from new, then me from 80K. Serviced by Audi until 80K then owner serviced. Lots of receipts

Cambelt last done at 82K (done by local mechanic - have receipt - next needs doing at 160K) now on just under 154K miles

Run on Castrol Edge since 80K. Recent oil & filter change

Ball joints and engine breather pipe replaced for last MOT.
Tyres are Conti's on rear (fairly worn) Dunlops on front (fairly new)

MOT until March 21 2015

Car is currently SORN'D

Cloth interior (showing wear from years of being family transport). Stained boot carpet.
Climate control (cold!)
Adjustable drivers lumbar support
Height and reach adjustable steering wheel
Electric sun roof
Electric windows
Bose stereo
Santorin pearl blue paint (rare I'm told)

Bad points:
Exhaust downpipe is corroded - new one with car to be fitted.
Lacquer peel on bonnet. Unavoidably parked under a power line - the resultant bird **** has left its mark.
Paint peeled and cracked on front bumper
Scuffs on back bumper from loading /unloading
Remote central locking not operation - central locking works from key in door

Immobiliser fault. The key is not recognised by the car. The car sometimes starts then cuts out and the immobiliser light flashes. Sometimes it doesn't start at all.Occasionally it starts OK and doesn't cut out.

I'm told it might just be that the car battery or the key that need re-coding, or (most likely) the receiver ring around the ignition lock needs replacing. I've not had the error codes checked.

It'd be a shame to break 'her' and hopefully someone who is familiar with auto elec-trickery can bring her back to life.

£250 ono
