1996 B4 Coupe (Byzanz Purple)

I'd been looking for one of these for years, and was chuffed when I bought this from Classic Audi member Timo back in October last year. However, my old Celica GT4-RC is for sale, and I really want it back. I want to keep the Boxster, so with a very heavy heart this has to go unfortunately.

1996 B4 Audi Coupe
2 litre 8v, non quattro.
5 speed manual transmission
MOT: March 2015
Tax: end September 2014
Mileage: 128,000

The Good:

Low mileage for age
Totally solid, no rust.
Had a full respray in December by the same guy that did my old Celica. The metallic Byzanz Purple looks great.
17" RS4 alloys sprayed in anthracite in good condition.
Huge amount of history, old MOT's, service receipts, tax discs etc.
Had a service when it was MOT'd in February
New front discs and pads in February
Half leather interior
VDO gauges (oil pressure gauge slightly intermittent)
Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited headlight bulbs fitted. Huge improvement over OEM bulbs.
Timing belt replaced at 101,375 miles.
Starts first time, drives smoothly and stops well. No rattles or squeaks.
Electric windows, mirrors and sunroof (all working).
Good on fuel. I get 35mpg up and down the A19 running on Vpower.

The Bad (it is nearly 20 years old!):

Passenger door doesn't open. I think the lock just needs reattaching behind the door card.
Central locking doesn't work. I had an immobiliser fault at Christmas, and it turned out to be a dodgy C/locking pump, which was removed. A £20 part, easily available, just haven't got round to sorting it as the car locks and unlocks with the key.
Rear wash wipe doesn't work. Possibly just a fuse. Haven't checked it as it doesn't bother me.

I may well regret this in years to come, and I'd probably be happy if it didn't sell and I end up keeping it, but needs must at the minute.

Yep, I agree the door should be sorted, and it will be soon.

This is now definitely available unfortunately, as I've just bought a diesel motor for my 130 mile commute for work, and I have the Boxster also, so I just don't want three cars.
