Default New Radiator for Audi Coupe 1986

Currently on my hols, en route home, but the rad leak is too bad that I've dropped by my parents and taken the rad off. I hoped that the local EuroCarParts and GSF might help, but to no avail.

The measurements are 320mm height, 40mm width, 580mm length. Theres no part number - it looks like the original!. Its for the base 1.8 Coupe, 1986, carb, non injection, type 85, non air con. engine code DS

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Got mine for the Sport ( same rad?) from Mansfield Radiators after 3 failed attempts with the high street suppliers. Efficient old skool company. 3 days to arrive from Holland. First attempt, perfect fit and OE quality. £100 ish.

Ive got their part number at home and I'll even pick it up for you if you are at the other end of the country.

Cheers for that Steve - I've sent an e-mail to them now.

Many thanks again

Stick "northern radiators" into google, I've always found them to be spot on

put the rad back on this evening - optimistically thought I could just pop into GSF or ECP and buy one over the counter. Thanks everyone for replying. I've e-mailed 10 places today - ECP keep trying to fob me off with different size rads! I've got 1 or 2 leads, but no chance of getting one in a hurry. Audicoupeparts - I would be interested to know if you have one - cheers. I'm going to make my way home friday (with a nice supply of bottled water).

many thanks
Andy

Deepest darkest Dorset Not really too far - be easier to get up to the A303 and make it home from there. Been on hols in cornwall. First noticed the leak when I was parked in a multi storey car park in Truro. Came back to the car to find a very large puddle under the car Since then I've been constantly checking the level, even getting paranoid about it.

must also add that the clock went over 200k in Cornwall

the car has been utterly laden - tent, wife, crap to go with tent, luggage, inflatable kayak, crap to go with kayak etc..

must also add that when I was going through a village there was a classic car show on the village green and thought it would be great to gate crash. parked alongside E-types, ferraris, the armstrong siddelely brigade, boring old rovers and tatty old morris minors. Everyones rides were spotless, mine had the blackened front wheels (i did clean before I went on hols). Anyway after getting scorned upon by the locals, and talking to one old fisherman type who had confused the word twitter with clitter, I made a hasty retreat.
