Glasgow Audi meeting

more of a northern thing but all are welcome, basically the area rep of the Q.O.C has organised a meeting at Glasgow Audi who has kindly put on a lunch for us I think

Basically any quattro drive is welcome to come along on Sunday 23rd November @ 13:00

please amend your name so I can pass on approximate numbers...

Due to one idiot of a mech who claims to be able to fix something only to break your new part and claim it was broken to start with



Unless ayr audi are miricle workers and can get the part tomorrow the car wont be ready till next week

Its now at ayr audi, robin is having a look at it for me and is going to fix it but i will need a new part i think.

Was taking it up to ayr audi to get the slave cylinder changed (was going to do it myself but was worried about breaking the pipe going into it and not having the pipe bending tool decided against it) was just about to leave the town when the clutch went again right outside the local garage, i was just about to call the recovery people when my dad against my better judgement got me to take it into the garage there, the guy said he had done loads of these before so reluctantly i let him go ahead and do it, called back an hour later to be told "the new parts knackered its been threaded wrong" went down to see it he had tried to put it on, got the wrong thread and chewed the threads on it
He then told me he wanted it out the garage so i asked him to either bleed the calliper or let me do it so the clutch would work long enough to drive the car out the garage, he said no, i want it out now

So he helps me shove it out the garage, gets it out onto the road and he says its not his problem anymore, at this point i have the car half way across and road and cars trying to get by, now i aint no small person by any means but its a bloody heavy car to try and shove on your own! Gets a help from other people and calls the aa to recover it to audi.

Waits 2 hours in the freezing cold for the aa to turn up after spending ages on the phone making sure they know they need a flatbed lorry as the car cant be towed, AA turns up with a transit van and towing dolly! At this point i went mental lol called a recovery place myself and they came out and put the car on the lorry, then the guy tells me he is over his driving time and has to wait 1 and a half hours before he can leave!


So it didnt arrive at audi till about 5pm last night, i took it into the garage at 9:30am!

so Ayr Audi now has it.. so it wasnt them who treated you like this!!

really sorry for you and also that truck driver is talking out of his arse as well because he does not have 1 .5 hour breaks!!!

its 45 mins @ a maximum of 4.5 hours CONTINUOUS driving or a 15 min break followed by 30 mins at ANY time within those 4.5 hours.... so to say he has to wait 1.5hours is complete excrement!!

Spoke to your hubby this morning, sorry you cant join us on Sunday, we will have to get together down at Turnberry and catch up soon.
