With a lot of reluctance I offer my Audi 90 for sale. The car was involved in an accident at the end of last year. The insurance company has classed the car as category C. I had intended to put it back on the road. But after having a closer look at it I feel it is beyond my capabilities. Before the accident, I look after the car the best I could. Last September for the MOT, the following was replaced. Middle section of exhaust, replaced with a good condition second hand replacement. 2no. new Boge Turbo Shocks, 2no. rear tie rods, both rear wishbones poly bushed, oem rear ball joints.
One month later, I poly bushed the front wishbones and reconditioned the track rods with new adjusters and new track rod ends. Car was taken to Pro Grip for 4 wheel alignment. Three weeks before the accident, I fitted 4no. new Toyo Proxy tires. The car has sat on my drive since the start of the year. I think this may be better if it was bought for spares, as stated above, a lot of parts have been replaced. Engine wise the car ticks over nicely. I have replaced the rubber air inlet duct that goes between the MAF and throttle body. Crank case breather has a new metal pipe. All spark plugs and leads are couple of years old. Bad point on engine though, there is a slight oil leak from valve head, which is landing on the tubular manifold which is causing small puff of smoke. On further inspection, I have notice that the valve head has some nasty nicks on it ![]() Bodywork, apart from the front end damage, it is not bad. The boot has a leak that I have never sourced, which is annoying! As stated this car could go back on the road after some work and a VIC inspection. But may be better if it was plundered for its good quality parts that I have fitted. If anyone is interested, I can email a pdf of most of the receipts in my ownership. More pictures are here http://photobucket.com/audi9020vquattrocatc Thanks for looking. Cheers, Leigh |

Very sad to see the Audi go. But enough of my crying. Let the rebuild thread begin!
