![]() Can you believe it, some stupid twunt woman decided it was ok for her to open the door of her fiesta so damn hard to edge her fat ass in that not only did she dent my NSR wheelarch but she actually also managed to split the paint along the seam about 3-4" long. Course, no insurance details or even a sorry, and to make it worse I only noticed as I had to jump into the car to drive to Bournemouth to rescue my wife whose car battery had died! Fun fun fun day! So, this has further prompted me into looking at respray prices. I've had a quote from a guy in Bournemouth for £2k, but that's same colour, no door sills, or glass out. I was hoping someone on here could: A) Recommend a good yet reasonably priced place to get my car resprayed. B) Let me know if there's anyone who wanted to do a part trade off for a respray? I can provide the following as part payment: i) Discounted cruises on Princess, P&O Cruise & Cunard & occasionally Yachts of seabourn ii) Accounting work - qualified & chartered accountant iii) Remainder of a CGT I've been breaking iv) You'd have to be desperate, but labour! My car is a 1988 registered WR Quattro in Bentley white. Plan is to keep it the same colour. Small amount of surface rust evident in the usual places, very minor indeed. Front wheelarches have been rolled ![]() ![]() so would need sorting too.I'm located in Southampton but am happy to deliver car wherever and leave it with someone for a month or so, happy to work around other peoples schedules! Any thoughts/leads and est prices would be appreciated.

They are
s. I like it best when I'm in a vehicle I don't particularly care about, then I just slam my door back into theirs. Particularly if I'm in the transit or the master van because I can sit in the seat and get my foot against the door for full effect.

My son came out of a shop a couple of weeks back to be told that someone had ran into the back of his car whilst it was parked,it was hit on the corner of the bumper, not to much damage but it he is very upset he works hard for what he has, just for some lowlife to damage it and not take any responsibility!!

I might look ignorant, but I often take two parking spaces if I'm in the supermarket, after some tw@t dented my door.

And unfortunately a lot of said retailers actually empliyee parking attendants who will happily, and legally give you a Fixed Penalty Notice for your trouble.
By the way, heard on Radio 2 that the average parking space is 2" narrower than the minimum recommended width (presume they based the minimum dimensions on 50's and 60's cars?) |

Happened to me a month back and I got it sorted through the insurance - also got them to do a few other bits. It's very annoying but I accept it as part of the deprived society we live in...

Sounds about right, I remember a few years ago working on a Sainsbury's refit. One day we were asked to move our cars from one end of the car park (that needed re-whitelining) to the other end of the car park (that they'd done). Most of us drove reasonably large vehicles because petrol hadn't reached ludicrous prices, and because of the distances we did, so we moved a selection of Mondeos, Vectras, Audii and in my case a Toyota Camry out of the old spaces they were in into the new spaces. Then found we couldn't open our doors
![]() The next day they were burning the lines back off the car park and making the spaces a bit wider ![]() As an aside, in 7 years of shopfitting and merchandising, I've picked up many, many parking tickets in supermarket car parks, and have yet to pay any of them. ![]()

The only thing that's preventing me from hunting down the woman is the fact that I already wanted a respray and hopefully the dent can be easily removed by rubbing it out from behind the rear door cards, but until I get a respray sorted it's only going to become a victim of rust

Shocking aren't they these hit and run drivers ...... They need stringing up by their ears and bottoms tweaking with a hot poker
