After picking up my Avant, there were a few small problems but it was to be expected.
The one thing I can't figure out is why my fans sometimes get stuck on. Occasionally when I start the car with the fan set to 0 or 1 it'll stay at that speed unless I touch it. Then randomly they'll turn right on again when Im driving. Wandering if this could be related to my temp needle never getting past more than 1/6th of the way up the gauge. How do I go about sorting the fans...they're really starting to bug me now ![]() |

you mean interior heater fan?
On the B4 80, it is the heater resistor pack. Google "heater resistor repair" or read this thread: http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/...ad.php?t=16724

Thanks for the info, that's been a real help. I'll have a bash at getting the resistor pack out of the car tomorrow and go from there.
