'Woman' recently had £300+ filtched from her account by persons unknown. One call to Barclays sorted it.
It would appear that it wasn't an online transaction that 'they' obtained her code from (she doesn't ever use her card on lune) but to a call centre type operative who then sold the details on; apparently that have a large investigation going on into a team that are doing this. |

When i had my little prang with my a6
I got a pick up .so i got a quote from swinton insurance,as my insurance provider that the car was insured with, didnt insure commercial vehicles. As i ve done many times before i used my mothers debit card over the phone to pay the deposit and 10 monthly installments were on direct debit from my account.so two weeks later swinton inform me that they are cancelling my insurance because, you can only use your no claims bonus on one vehicle at any one time ,and they were aware that the audi insurance was still in force .Eventhough it had been in the scrap yard a month.!after cancelling the insurance policy SWINTON demanded £81 for a months cover ,plus the £161 deposit they had already had . so i stopped the direct debit at my bank . What do you think they did? they used the card details they had retained from my mothers card and took £81 out of my mothers account . !And barclays let them ! now if a petrol station did that ,it would be fraud ! but apparantly some times its ok ! its a farce
