1991 Mk2 Golf GTI For Sale or Swap for Volvo 850/V70 T5

Well I need an Estate so the Golf has it's Marching Orders!!!

1991, Mk2 Golf GTI, MOT'd till September, Tax'd till end of August. I bought it in August last year and it has been my daily since then, I have covered roughly 5,000 miles in it. It has never failed to start, even through the terrible snow etc! I can get 37mpg out of it and if careful I've even managed to get 450miles from a tank! It has been serviced recently, Changed Oil, Oil Filter, Plugs, Rotor Arm & Dizzy Cap, Both Belts, Air Filter. Changed the PAS fluid.

Its pretty much Original as it left the Factory TBF!! Its in Good Condition, has rust in the Usual MK2 places (Have taken Pics of the worst), The interior is absolutley Immaculate! The cloth on the Bolsters has not worn through and the seats are really comfy, the rears look like they have never been sat in.

When I bought it, It had just had a replacement Front Subframe and front suspension arms, I have replaced the rear bushes, fitted new brake lines where required, Fitted a Goodridge Braided 6-Line Hose kit, Replaced the Rear Compensator, replaced the Rear suspension top mounts, fitted a bush kit in the gear shift along with a weighted shift rod, Replaced front discs and pads, Replaced Cam Belt and tensioner. It also benefits from a full Stainless Exhust system, Fitted by AAS in Newcastle, It sounds lovely but is not loud, just right. I had it finished with the Std Tailpipe design so it still makes the car look Std.

Car has covered 252,000 miles!!! I know that sounds a lot, but It's backed up with a full service history (Mainly VW but a few independant stamps in there), The previous owner lost the paperwork for the service history in a house move sadly, but I have the actual service books with all the stamps in etc.....there are so many that they had to start another book!!!! I have all the old MOT's and even the Original Bill of Sale from Massingberg Volkswagen in Northallerton. Car still carries the Orginial Dealer Plates too!!!

I'm really quite torn with this car as its so Original etc, that why I've not really modded it, Just some Genuine Hella 16V rear lights, the exhaust and it has an IPod compatible Kenwood CD headunit up front and a working electrical Areial in the front wing. It is currently fitted with G60 Steels and I still have the Original 14" steels too. It will come on the 14's unless you want it with the G60's!!

make sure the T5 has the 305mm police spec discs.

Think it depends on the year! The R's come with bigger brakes I think!!!

wasnt just the Rs.......cops were having tomany bumps in the 850s with brake fade so they uprated them to 305mm discs and ds2500 pads. these were put on the Rs also.

get a s70 as they have 240bhp and 250lb/ft

Quite fancy the V70R TBF, bit newer....All the ones I see that look awesome have bloody spacka boxes on them though
