David Sutton Christmas video

I just wondered if anyone has seen the video that was presented to David Sutton motorsport by one of its sponsors from back in the mid 80`s as a xmas present that was filmed on the side of the road of the mechanics changing a gearbox on one of the works Sport Quattros at a service in Greece i think! On of my mates worked for David Suttons up until a couple of yrs ago and he got hold of it,he told me its a very little known video that was never publicised,he copied it and gave me a copy! They are all stood round the car with Sutton himself on the stopwatch and they are going like the clappers changing the box in 14mins and then start smoking Rothmans cigarettes!Quite a god video to see how they used to do it and the pressure they must`ve been under.I can dig it out and try posting it on here if possible!

Anyone have any ideas of how i go about sticking it up on here! I have it on a dvd at home but unsure how to do it! I can send the dvd to somebody if they fancy doing it! Also when my mate worked at suttons i used to stay with him quite a lot when i`d be on the mainland and used to spend hours round at suttons round the back in the workshop where they build the cars.He used to take me to see the hoards of old rally parts that they have stored upstairs.Its like christmas up there for Audi fans,they have tons of stuff there thats been left since the 80`s,seems like a waste all that stuff is there gathering dust!

You used to be able to buy this. I have a copy but not a very good one. Rare footage of the Rothmans Liveried quattros.

That could be the one! Did it say-`happy Christmas to all at David Sutton Motorsport`at the end of it and the guy asked the mechanic,`could u have done it without a Rothmans`?

Cannot remember that bit but it's deffo the Rothmans car driven by an Arab. It's completed at the side of a very sandy and dusty road. Dave Sutton always had this playing whenever you went there.

Yeah thats the one,all u can hear from the guy is,sumpguard out,gearbox out,new gearbox, sumpguard! Great video!Do u still have it to post up!If not i can give it to u to do.I have no idea how to do it!

Do you have the ability to rip it down to a manageable size file? If so, the rest is easy. If not, then I would be happy to do it for you or someone else around here certainly could.
