Default Help! Locked key inside car

Can someone please help! I have left my car key inside the car when I locked the door, I have only one key. The drivers side door lock doesn't work with the key so I have to lock the car by pushing the button inside, so I forgot to take my key. Is it possible that somehow I can get another key perhaps from an Audi dealer? Can someone please suggest something? Thanks! It's an Audi 80 1986 1.8.

think your self lucky. I once did this in a carpark with no mobile phone and my baby daughter strapped in inside
Anyway, when the AA came he had several plastic "wedges" which he used to lever the door slightly open on the B pillar and then slide a peice of long tie-wrap, through the gap, to hook and then unhook the lock.
Took him about 30 seconds.

4 Options

1. Key from Audi - will take a couple of days and you will need the chasisis number and probably some documentation
2. Breakdown / security company to come and break into the car
3. If the button is raised, get a plastic packing strap fold it in half lengthways so its in a loop and pass it down between the door rubber and frame into the car and looped it round the button and pull it up (done this a few times)
4. Brick through the window.....

try another similar key in the drivers door as the tumbers tend to seize up, or try the passenger door lock.

to organise a key from the dealer usually takes 3 to 4 working days. as long as the car hasnt had a complete lock change.

Metal Coat hanger bent into a loop string on the end of it longer than coat hanger slip between window rubber and door put loop over door button oull tight and up this should open it for it let us know how you get on should take about 10 seconds. Failing that Audi do sometime have skeleton keys that may work and so do the police so they may help you as well
