Help with fitting Coupe Quattro door trims

Hi, I am currently planning on removing the bottom door trims on my 1989 Audi Coupe Quattro. The trim runs along the outside bottom of the driver and passneger doors which they are connected too. Now i was wondering to get these trims off carefully would i have to remove the interior door panels to take the clips off for the trim to seperate?

I think you will find they slide off

Ok I shall give that a shot and see how it goes, I just hate it how they flap around and just make the car look worse -.-"
