Default ULEZ

Has anyone had their car tested for NOx emissions?
Or had any luck getting an official declaration of what their NOx emissions are?
Specifically for an MB ur, but any help
On the matter appreciated.

Motorbikes can be tested, I’ve not found a car tester yet.
EDIT-More accurately, you can have a motorbike tested and if it passes (has low NOx) then it will get a ULEZ exemption.

You can get the emissions details from Audi, well you can for newer cars. "might" still do it for the older models..... if they ever knew what the level was.

For newer cars it's on the V5. I was hoping someone may have had one tested, or knew of one tested in Europe.

I also have a motorbike that's not got any NOx data, but that can be tested. I may speak with the testers to see if they have a car-rolling-road as well as the bike one.

(At least it looks like one on the webpage i saw!)

Are you hoping to get it exempt?

Yes, or at least find out if there's a chance or not.

Can anyone who owns a diesel confirm that their MOT includes NOx test?

One that gives a specific NOx reading (not NO2, NO, CO or CO2)

(I've never owned a diesel!)

I don't think they have the equipment to test the nox or didn't, this is HGVPSV testing, the smoke test used to barely register and i "think" the testers said so long as the adblue system was not showing a fault and all intact it was presumed the Nox was correct.

This was 5 odd years ago so i might not have recalled it exactly

Necromancing a controversial issue.

I’m briefly back in the UK, and it simply cannot be brief enough.

Yesterday, I encountered the the joy of finding that the only two airports in southern UK serving a particular European destination that I Must visit next week are both inside the ULEZ.
With fuel costs as they are, and airport parking as it is, the idea of then spending an extra £25 for the privilege of using the heathrow/M25 connection makes using Heathrow an even more unpleasant experience.

I’d have almost been better off flying direct from Asia, and bypassing the UK altogether.

What the hell is this country trying to achieve?

I can not put this together in my mind. I had to sell my 2011 Audi A7 which was super efficient on fuel for ULEZ reasons, where my S6 V10 5.2 was good enough for the ULEZ
So, the car with DPF, catalytic converter and 40MPG is more harmful than 5.2 18MPG monster... Who knows...
