AUDI V8 armrest retrofit

So guys and gals, I have a V8 interior in my 200, I recently took out the passenger seat to do a little upgrade and discovered that the armrest was a retrofit and not original to the interior. The fit was a bit crude and didn’t work great, if you leaned on the armrest it would always go down. So I decided to try and make it fit better. The problem I have is I can’t find any info online as to how it fits and what it needs to fit correctly. So my question to all you good folks is… has anyone here retrofitted an armrest to their V8 or similar? I understand that the armrest was never fitted to right hand drive cars.

I found an old thread from 2015 on audiV8.com from a Sean K who did this, there were some photos and a bit of a description but no details, he mentioned on the thread that he was a member here and he’s from Northern Ireland, possibly under the user name Ausi V8?

Anyway, any help and even photos would be brilliant, thanks in advance guys.

There's at least one thread over on the S2forum dedicated to retro fitting this armrest, I'd have a poke around on there.

Or try Googling various potential thread titles and see what pops up, I do that quite often when trying to find an old thread on there as the search function doesn't seem to work, for me anyway.

Normally I can find what I'm looking for by doing that.
