I second that!

Well mine is a pearl white one with the sport quattro bonnet and approx 300bhp under the bonnet, just needs the engine rebuilt!!

Might I suggest we do a local meet up once my car's back up and running?!

But do we mind or moan about it? And if so, why, or why not?
Personally I can't see the justification, as it was on a bit if the entrance road that made sure the ANPR device was hidden, with an unmarked car and 2 big, fat, pension-near cops sat in it.
But conversely, it doesn't worry as I am taxed, insured etc.
But I hardly think its an effective use of taxpayers money....
depends how many people they catch, on average 20% have no insurance, apparently, therefore every fifth car out ( on average!!) will get done for no insurance and possibly no tax either and lets not even consider the MOT and various illegal tyres...
I'd consider that better than sitting somewhere catching people doing just over the speed limit.
But I know what you mean...... I'd rather they spent time catching the urks that set recently fire to two bins near where I live, one actually inside a small block of flats ( honestly it isn't normally like this around here !! )

I agree with your comments Chris but 'they' (and I was one of 'they') have a coil way of spinning statistics to justify action.
It was one of my big bugbears, together with re-classifying how assaults and burglaries were recorded to 'show' that crime rates were falling / being detected.
If Roads Policing were allowed to do what their name suggests, there would be far fewer uninsured untaxed cars than by using ANPR; knowledge is power, and Roads Policing (or Traffic) had terrific Intelligence Officers, unless of course they caught uninsured, disqualified and drunken drivers by chance (as was suggested by a Governent minister. The twat).

Nice, my first non turbo quattro was tornado red (I'm sure I'll be corrected if they're not!) but I ended up with the colour I always really wanted!

Definitely like to see them up close once mine is put back together!
