Depends on who is doing the most miles on the day. In order to save as much fuel as possible the person driving the shortest distance gets the Avant 3TDi quattro, so I usually end up with the Black Bess A4 2 or 3 times a week as it'll do 50mpg pretty much whatever driving style you use.
When the Cq is on the road I occasionally drive that to work if I'm coming in early for a shutdown as it performs at its best on cool mornings. This was not very often last year thanks to weather and cost of fuel... costing me £400 month at the moment So likely to be doing a lot more cycling into work this year to try and get weight below 100Kg again and pay for more fun times in the Cq...

Big regret; selling my Bora(t) TDi to steveT63; as reliable as day following night, and a parsimonious taste for diesel.

You're right JJ, Steve reckons its cut his fuel bills by more than 50% n once you get used to the comical 'grip' of the cheap tyres you can perform graceful power (hem hem, did I say power???) slides around roundabouts.
Iirc it only needs the cambelt, water pump etc doing for another 100k of motoring ☺

My use of the handbrake has increased as much as fuel costs gone down!!.....approach roundabout...brake....select gear.....turn in......
understeer......remember liquorice tyres fitted on the front...apply handbrake...exit roundabout!

Here's my daily. It's not a bad car, not that good either though. It has it's uses.
