I ran one of these for about 15 months,my first quattro, before buying a 2.8 B4 quattro. A bit underpowered for the available grip possibly ... and really need power steering... but nevertheless nice very under stated cars. A stealth colour and a very rare car ( 1985: 83 imported 1986 :145 .
Oh and we all know they are 1.8DZ engines
You cannot seriously intend to break this

No, it was a little fun poke at another Audi based forum! advertised for a week then broken into bits!!... I seriously intend to sell it but it seems that it isn't as interesting a classic as I thought it was. Wrong engine, too many driven wheels

eBay beckons, let the vultures have a pick at it!!

I wouldn't say it's slow, ok it's only 114 bhp? But its fresh. That GTI engine was a cracker IMO. Admitted it won't win any traffic light grand prix's, but it turns more heads on the street that an 18 year old pole dancer wearing see through pants!

Actually spritely is probabaly a good description of them, with loads of grip! They were lower geared than the corresponding 80 Sports and that helped them on the road.
It's also very easy to get the DZ motors up to about 135+ bhp. I've got a copy of a road test of a modded to 2.0 litre 80 quattro and they reckoned it then needed higher gearing !

Yep know about B3s, heavy compared to B2s !!
When we bought our B3 80 Sport in 1990 I realised that the extra weight would make it feel slower so I factored in the overall price a BRM engine conversion ( we were both earning good money by then ! ) - head/cam/exhaust and in the end it went up to about 138bhp and 140+lbs feet.
Went much better

I nearly bought a B3 16v quattro in about 1999 ( red seats as well ) but by then I was used to driving the A4 1.8T Sport or my 80 Sport and the B3 quattro felt quite 'heavy'.... so I didn't buy -- but a bit of me now wishes I had -- and I'd probably still have it now !!

What about Audi Driver web site? Might have a better response than some other places-- you know the 'older' Audi nut with a bit of disposable cash for a toy ??
Dare I mention ... Pistonheads

I'd give it a caring home, but the chances are that I wouldn't have the home for long
