So annoyed dude, this problem goes back to Han 21st 2012. My problem is that the car isnt road legal at all, no one I know has a proper bleeder, the person (neighbour) that does isnt interested in helping, he works at VW. So the car sits and sits and sits with me trying new things. Crazy how this has become a nightmare.

Im just not in the know or in that social circle for help

Give me a Citroen any day

Now that's serious! Surely not!

I've bled the 100T and the allroad front and back, both have ABS and the allroad has ESP too and all I did was take the fluid reservoir cap off, stick a bit of 5mm fish tank airline on the bleed nipples and opened them, they bled by gravity. There must be something wrong with the ABS unit on yours? The only thing I can think of. I remember Phil Payne saying somewhere that the bleeding procedure for ABS shouldn't really be any different to that of a normal system.

Beg/borrow/steal/hire a flaring tool, rip the ABS unit out an bin the fkr and run a full new set of pipes. You could do it in a weekend no bother. There's no way you can fail if you do that if you already have a good pump, new bomb, servo, master etc. you already have all the ingredients you need.

This is silly, everything worked when the calipers were changed, how on gods earth can the abs unit fail like that.

If it has, i'll strip it, get what I can and say good riddance.

Worst car I have ever bought.

Not failed. Full of air or damaged by winding in caliper pistons without opening the bleed nipples maybe? Who knows.

All I'm saying is, without the ABS unit all you have is a bunch of pistons and a bunch of pipes. You've already replaced every piston on the car by the sounds of it, including the calipers. If you had a normal system with no ABS unit then all you have is a bunch of new pistons and a bunch of pipes. Then the only possible two scenarios are that the pipes and pistons are full of fluid, or they are not full of fluid! Break it, I don't give a fk, only trying to help.

Hi,
there is no need to open the bleeder nipples by winding the pistons.
I guess I wrote about it a few month ago but may be it,s not important what a Kraut says.

It is possible that the brake master cylinder was damaged during bleeding by pumping the brake pedal. So first you need to find out whether the master cylinder is blown or not. Therefore remove the brake lines from the master cylinder and switch them with bleeder nipples. Bleed the master cylinder alone by these nipples. This is a little effort and takes just a few minutes work. After bleeding the master cylinder you will have full pressure or no pressure on the brake pedal. (Edit: In case of a faulty master cylinder, the pressure might also decrease while keeping the foot on the pedal.) No (or decreasing) pressure means, that the master cylinder is blown. Please let us know about the result of this little test.

I drive a Citroen Xantia and a C5 Tourer. Nice cars but even not free of trouble.
