I have just had an email saying my new clutch has landed in the UK

Now lets see just how much those thieveing basterds at Customs and the Post office charge me for the pleasure of delivering it

So all going well, we shall remove the gearbox early next week and at last we shall try and tame some of this torque

Picked up Some BMW E9 locks,afew days ago from Parcelforce.
Locks(OEM) came from USA-$40,postage $40 and a charge of £16.50(£8.50 vat+£8 handling.)to get them in my hands(Parcelforce.).

Bad rip off.
Similar thing happened

,when I got my camera lens from USA.

But a small price to pay,to get your BEAST back on the road.

Well it arrived this morning, thankfully the guy who shipped it from the States put a low price on the invoice, so we only got stung for £17

It was my day of so we stripped her down this morning and fitted the clutch and rebuilt the lot. All was going great until until we over tightened one of the bolts which holds the slave cylinder, so in the morning we shall have to go and get a helicoil set and re-thread it

Not a lot

Its sat under the covers at the moment as we are playing with other things for a while, plus a little bit to much going on with mine, wife's and youngest health at the moment, oh plus we blow the gearbox when we upped the boost
