There used to be a shop in the Wicker in Sheffield - sadly swept away by development - that effectively rendered pig carcases and sold all the products.

At lunchtime they did magical roast rolled pork and stuffing breadcakes - they always had large enamel washing basins full of cooling lard for the chipshops.
