1988 Audi 90 10v, bought it when I was 17 for £200, non running. My dad towed it home, and then taught me how to fix cars, it has been a slippery slope from there.....

(red 80 1.9tdi is the car I learned to drive in)

Mmm,, blue velour interior

Great car to learn to drive in, easy to see the corners and easy to park.....I learnt on an A40 , six lessons and passed within 4 months of my 17th birthday.....but of course it was easier in those days. Seriously!

Not quite my first car........3rd maybe? Built from a shell, 2 litre with twin 40's and 5-speed, Capri Recarros ........great fun. Sadly got written off after I sold it........maybe it's identity lives on, it is a Ford after all?!

OK if you wanna talk Fords, here's my 2nd and 3rd car .....and yes I did have a thing about racing stripes...in fact I don't know how I've managed to restrain myself from painting some over the cq!!!

Mk1 Ford Zephyr 6

Ford Special , based on a Ford Pop chassis, e93A engine went like .....well stuff that gets stuck to a shovel . Innocent and happy days. Circa 1966.

Certainly the Zephyr 6, it was a great cruiser and quite fast comparatively....how I never killed myself in it is another thing all together....sadly the Special was incapable of more than about 60mph , all show and no go...bit like me!
