If the thickness isn't out of tolerance, yes. But depending on the disc type, machining isn't always cheaper than buying new ones. You must mind, that machining abrades material, making the discs last even shorter.

I would rather buy cheap new discs,than to have the old ones machined close to their tolerance.
Look on Ebay,cheap as chips.

little update on this. fitted new shock inserts and top mounts today. still vibrating. checked everything was tight. no play in that i can feel by rocking the wheel at 3 and 9, or 12 and 6 o'clock

so.... as it stands, new track rod ends, new wheel bearings, new shocks and new top mounts (and no difference)

The symptoms will be solved, of course. The judder is caused by the discs, I've no doubt about it. May be the discs become uneven by overheating caused be sticky caliper pistons?
