My new coupe is having first meet jitters! Can't getit going at the moment. I had a day looking after my son today so had no time to look into it, will have to get up early tomorrow. It ran fine all weekend. I didn't run it at all Friday, got in it today and just no electric power at all. Went out for the day and left it on charge all day and just got home and tried it and completely dead. When I open the door while the battery is on charge the interior lights come on, when I unplug the charger I get nothing. Either the battery has some how knackered itself in 24 hours or my battery charger isn't working. All a bit strange as it showed no sign of a weak battery what so ever all week

Oh that's booger Crossle

from my experience of batteries, and in view of being flat after just two weeks and not charging, well that sounds like a dead cell/won't hold charge scenario to me.
Other than trying a different battery, maybe from another vehicle, well not really sure of what to suggest:
Cant offer you my spare cuz lent it to jmlaudi so that he could get home from aitp7 when his alternator packed up, and he's in Shippley.
If you can get to meet venue, well I'll be heading over in next half hour or so to set up, I can bring my charger for you to try if you like?

Good news, got her going, first time off a jump. I think moral of the story don't waste time with old school battery chargers! Still doesn't answer why it was fine from cold starting then all of a sudden went dead. Battery in the car looks brand new to me.

Thanks for the charger offer, think I will order a new one to tomorrow. Will bring jumps and might need to cadge a jump off someone later though. Will be along around 1.00
