Or my local-

http://www.oldcrownashton.co.uk/

Only issue here is although its got a reasonable size car park it does sometimes get a bit full on a Sunday.

or if anyone wanted to venture out as far as Silverstone this has a massive car park and its a nice pub but usually very quiet-

Very easy to get to, not fair off the A5 and on the A43 next to Silverstone.

I am GOING to have an Audi by then for sure! Got two or three on the list of possibles to buy at the moment but my holidays just gone and got in the way! Will buy one of them when I get back

Thanks again for suggestions Crossle ...
I'm guna have to rule those two venues out though I'm afraid; bit too far West for those travelling from the East, and imo, well that's a bit unfair.

Fancy letting your holiday get in the way of buying another Audi!
Joking aside, I'm sure it will be worth the wait buddy, very much looking forward to seeing your newly acquired purchase soon.

Okay, with all that said guys...
I have been in touch with a 'possible' venue today.

Granted, it's not a pub, but given the time now available to find some where to hold the meet, well this place is incredibly easy to find, it has a 'huge' car park, and it also offers an on-site restaurant and toilet facilities - which is better than nothing!

The chap that I spoke with doesnt see any problem with us using a small area of the car park, or even with closing an area of the car park off for us, but he did say that he will need to check the events diary and run it past the General Manager (he's off today!) first - I will know more in the next day or so please keep your eyes peeled for any updates.

Blimey well I will give up on the suggestions in that case then! I dont really do East from me as all the nicer places are to the West lol so not much help on suggestions there. Its never going to be that far from me at any rate so what ever is decided is not a problem.

I did/do appreciate you suggestions Crossle...
and I sincerely hope that I have not offended you in any way with my replies as that really was not my intention.

What I perhaps didn't make clear, when asking for suggestions, is my own personal perspective in so far as choosing a venue for the meet, as in:
Would it be fair for me to choose a place/pub here in the East of the county with an expectancy for those in the West to travel to me?
Would it be fair for me to choose a location with an expectancy for members to travel further than I would be willing to travel myself?
Would it be fair for me to choose some place/pub that is hidden away in a village somewhere when non-locals without knowledge of the area have expressed an interest in the meet?

So you see, my ruling out of your suggestions was nothing personal buddy...
in fact looking at your second link, and whilst not suitable imo for a CA meet, well it was rather stunning to say the least!, and your local you say? well keep your eyes peeled for my boy cuz it's certainly a pub worth visiting if ever I'm passing/in the area.

Thumbs up Official Meet Announcement!

Northants Meet

Wyevale Garden Centre, Newport Pagnell Road, Northampton
http://www.wyevalegardencentres.co.u...Northampton/1E

Sunday 17th July 2016
12noon - 5pm

The venue, Wyevale Garden Centre, has been in the area since 1978 and has grown (pardon the pun) to being almost unrecognisable since I myself worked there many years ago, offering not only a ‘huge’ car park (I have agreed an area of about 15 spaces for us!), restaurant and toilet facilities, but also many concessions within the grounds, such as: Costa Coffee and even a Car Wash!
(so no excuses for turning up in a dirty vehicle this time chaps! )

Being located just a mile from the M1 on the Newport Pagnell Road, the venue is once again fairly central and easy to find for ‘all’ members wishing to attend. Thus enabling both local & non-local CA members the opportunity once again to meet up,
as well as to take photos of the Classic Audi’s as a collective, whilst catching up with old and new friends of course!

Once again, this is a meet so it is not essential to turn up in a Classic Audi.
Partners & children are of course welcome.

So, with venue and date now confirmed, can I interest anyone else please? (just copy/paste list in comment below to indicate your reply - thanks )

A Garden Centre mmmh

Sorry not my idea of a meeting venue and there's really no point in having an attendance list with people that have said No.
