I've just received the final instructions and therefore confirmation of entry for the Great Western Sprint at Castle Combe next Saturday (27th March).
If anyone would like to pop along and watch, morning practice starts at 9.00 and the competitive runs will begin after lunch (1.30-ish). I don't think there is any admission charge. We have entered a sprint at Castle Combe before but this is a slightly different format. Usually it is run over the 3/4 lap course, that is starting on the start grid and finishing after the second chicane, then peeling off into the the pits. Comprising of 2 practice runs in the morning and 2 competitive runs in the afternoon. This event is over 1 and 3/4 laps for the 2 competitive runs and 1 practice run of 2 and 3/4 laps in the morning. The start will be from the pit exit and then finishing after 1 complete lap at the same place just past the second chicane. As usual my friend and I are "double driving" so the car will be out on track 6 times during the day. There's more information and an entry list here: http://www.bristolmc.org.uk/EventReg...print_regs.htm ![]()
