plan B is in force

taking Archie now, dont want to use the RS4 with its current clutch issue.... 1 direction for that car and thats straight to Grizz....

....Meeting up with 4 or 5 cars at the Strathclyde country park then drive up in company with an S4 avant, an RS4 B5 and possibly 2 RS6's, the S4 has about 330 bhp, the RS4 has about 430 and 1 of the RS6's IF it comes along has about 600 bhp !!

yea I'll be last but I'll win the noise vote. The young chap with the Avus silver RS4 wants a go of the WR after seeing and hearing it last night.... SO I'll be at the helm of an RS4 after all

Hope Colin comes along in his RARA

C/A banner is at immediate notice

quick dit on today... met up with Lindsay in his S4 avant and Delco in his RS6 avant, Hektor couldnt make it because his screen wipers were seized!!

so we left Strathclyde country park around half 8 and drove sedately up to Stirling services where we had a brew while the other folk coming caught up with us.... Colin & Jacqueline at the helm of the stunningly restored RARA, and a grey R8 driven by Eltee... no wonder he said the 100CS was sorned and " not sure what I'll be coming in yet" YEA RIGHT Peter what an entry

so 9 cars left the services so I sneaked in behind Pete in the R8 then headed up to Crief at 70 mph.... HONEST I couldnt believe that within 500 yards I wasnt at the back of the pack but we all held station up to Creif to be greated a load of other Audi's ranging from a coupe GT up to the R8 with S2's, S4's, a few RS6's 2 Noggy blue RS2's etc etc.....

A big thanks to Colin who gave me the keys to his RARA while he went out with LYT4X (John) in his grey titian? RARA!!

Colin's car doesnt half shift, I gave it a good prod... and honestly it picked up like the RS4 so I eased off a bit, its not my car and respect other peoples property, still had a nice wee blast though, got it on video as well....

We all had a great day meeting people who we converse with on forums and finally putting faces to those names, great to see Norrs2 in his B5 RS4 so Helen and I followed him home for a brew and catch up with Sandra , his Mrs.

Thanks for your hospitality Norman

It was a delight to see so many performance Audis in the same place with people giving keys to each other for drives in other peoples cars,we didnt go far because the cars and occupants came back within 5 mins or so, I noticed Jacqueline bagged a ride in the R8

so.... it was 100 miles up.... and 178 MILES HOME!!

scenic route around Scotland is great up here with snow still on high ground. Archie didnt miss a beat all day

6 Ur quattros turned up as well, nice to see the ole war birds together for a " family phot"

took 40 odd phots all in so here is a few and here's the link to the rest.....

I could only start off with Colin's RARA he here goes.... I found an IBIS RS4 for company..

A few of mine

found a few friends

some of the big boys!!

a very big thanks to Steve for organising today, and also a big thanks to everyone who helped make today such a great day, we really had a great day out
