Hi,
Speaking about L/H drive cars in the UK, have any of you had a problem driving left had drives on our roads? I had a W124 500E which I loved and drove every day, however I soon found driving a right drive car very difficult, my wife’s alloys on the SL are testimony to that. I found the whole L/H driving experience great, but as I said very hard to adjust back. I in the end I sold the 500E.

Personally, I feel more comfortable driving a LHD car in the UK. The only problem was for the first 10 minutes where you get the occasional drift in to the centre of the road!
After driving a left hooker for a while, I've found in the past that when I get in to a RHD afterwards, I tend to leave a lot more room when passing parked traffic on my left.

Our van is a left hooker as were the 2 before that and the RS2 was as well. If you're right handed, you're changing gear with your natural hand as well.

And it's better for kerb crawling.................apparently!

My car was an Automatic; I also agree I found I drove the car quicker especially round roundabouts. The Current Mrs Stansfield hated it as you are right you do drift a bit. She was seen holding on to the seat for grim death, as she’s was on the outside on the motorway. Happy days....!
