You can get a "birth cert" from Audi Tradition if you send the relevant information.

Does anyone know what engine this is likely to have in it and the availability of mechanical parts that will probably be needed to get it back on the road?

Also, to get round the Q-plate problem, couldn't a 1986 plate be bought (or a 1985) and stuck on the car to lose the Q-plate?

nope they were only made between 1976 to 79

This is an 'interesting' car!

So we're not sure of the exact year or the exact engine type then??? Sounds like the proverbial pig-in-a-poke imho.

no not really it was registerd in uk by the sound of it but it was so long off the system it was reregistered in 1986 on the q plate proberbly the info got lost . ask the ebayer if he has any paperwork from its past .with any reg numbers ect .

Just lots of work if it was a c2 then i would buy it for the shell

Garry, please excuse my ignorance but isn't it a C2 as they were produced between 76 and 82? It definitely doesn't look C3 to me? Cheers
