Just got this reply from Carandclassic;

"Thanks for the information Andy. By the time I looked 10:40 Sunday the 17th of Feb it had been deleted. It had been live for 20 hrs.

Your guess is as good as mine why it might have been listed.

The name Vicky Lewis was part of the email address.

I understand from my London-based friend that this is quite a common scam, earning the people responsible some easy money, although he said its the first time he'd heard of them targeting 'classic' car ads.
I contacted them as well. Vicky Lewis was the name right enough. I also emailed the address askin about the number and i got some waffle about a mistake and it would be re advertised with the correct number. Aye right. Ba$tards.
