Sorted, thanks to a home made pressure gauge. Attached to feed line and pressure was showing as 9 bar. Yet pressing on the plate made no difference to running meaning no additional fuel getting to injectors, so swapped the original metering head back in and swapped tiny filter inside banjo connection and heh presto, pressure ruturned to 6 bar and engine revved without issue. Just need to set CO next time Chris pops round to mine.

No, There is a small filter in the main inlet banjo onto the fuel distributer from the pump/ accumulator. Was collapsed and clogged hence such high pressure on gauge. Was letting just enough fuel past to let engine idle and that was it.

Default Kv fuel filters

Well found.
So, lets make this clear for all.

KV and possible more engines, fuel filters;

1-Fine filter in the tank,can be holed with a coat hanger and not really needed
2-Pre electric pump inline filter, can be cleaned and re used
3-Main canister filter after the pump, renew evey few years
4-Fine filter, from the main feed to the fuel distubutor,banjo fitting
5-Fine filter, banjo on the WUR,feed from the top of the fuel distributor to the wur

Is there any more ?!
