I think it's a 3-bolt mounting plate for Golf, and a 4-bolt for the Audi(??). I can't exactly remember but I did this swap in reverse; 1.8 Audi 80 (typ 81/85) > 1.6 Mk.2 Golf.
That means I also have the jets for the 1.8 Audi (as the Weber went with the Golf), so let me know if you need them

I've also got a pdf copy of the manual for the Weber 32/34 DMTL carb - it's handy to have so give me a shout if you (or anyone else!) wants a copy

I replaced the pooburg with the Weber about a year back and have not looked back. Trust me you wont be disappointed, its 500% better! The mounting plate is indeed different but my garage got round that

The one thing that I have had to replace since, and probably will be a reoccurring theme is the rubber flange the Carb sits on. If your coupe idles slightly uneven eventually it will split. But GSF normally has it on the shelf for 20 quid.

the pierbergs are a good carb. its just when they go wrong people seem to be clueless about whats wrong with them.
faults are usually carb base gaskets leaking.
but the auto choke system seems to mystify dumb people too.
i mean its just a bi metal spring but also has a feed wire to heat it up too. THIS APPLIES THE CHOKE. check the wire to it isnt open circuit.
theres a vacuum pull down unit. THIS HOLDS THE CHOKE OFF. check this isnt split.
theres a wax stat. THIS ADJUSTS THE THROTTLE POSTION ACCRODING TO COOLANT TEMP. if you have any type of fault where the engine won't tick over when cold or it idles too high when hot.... change this first.

if anythings wrong with any of these 3 things it totally fooks up how it works

but its not that complicated.
