This is one of the daft ones.

Get a quote from your local Audi stealership for swapping the tappets using parts YOU supply and the valve stem oil seals using parts THEY supply.

I kid you not. Do it and see what they come up with.

Bought mine off e-bay but made sure they were high quality FEBI versions first. Not a massive job on a 10V and cam will be fine as said Audi over-engineered these engines back in the 80's, just be sure to remove the cam caps together a bit at a time to keep unnecessary stress off the cam itself...

Ok so im ringing around getting quotes before the weather really sets in.

Thought i would ask on here first.

Does anyone want this (cash) job before i give the work to a company and pay more than i should - probably?

As long as you know what your doing and not a milion miles away it sounds like a good job for some cash ??????

If you do fancy it could you give me quote please, i'll get the parts

Thanks

Andy

Too far for me I'm afraid, just the cost of fuel would be £100 to get to you and back before I even start

Looking at how some people have interpreted that, I think there's a need for a Remedial Reading 101 on here. It's quite clear - just read the words.

It's a bit much, to be honest. I'd reckon on around £250 plus parts at around £170.

this guy is not bad by all accounts, to do your work s-dodger..

i'd build him a granny flat at the end of my garden if i had the money. could keep him in work two months of every year as long as i keep buying lemons.
