Well done on the 3rd place John, was it a good event?

A quick drivshaft out and in job and hopefully see you at Gurston in July then.

Is it more of the diff trouble for the Sierra or something more serious?

I had a look at the site, first of all you have to be a member with some driving club & all then fill out a million forms.

Would be a laugh tearing my 80 around that track, but I don't fancy joining a drivers club etc.

Yep, you need to be a member of an MSA recognised club, There are loads about, and membership can be very cheap. You need an MSA licence - a 'non-race national b' licence does the trick for most sprints and hillclimb events although i have now upgraded mine to a 'Speed national A' these licences cost 35ish and 75ish respectively per year. You need FiA spec overalls, boots, gloves and a certified crash hat - quite expensive (you get a regs book with your licence that shows all the acceptable standards) Then entering an event costs from £70 to £140 plus your costs like fuel tyres, brakes, suspension bushes & i suppose, driveshafts etc.

All in all its not a cheap sport, but it is one hell of a buzz... Trackdays just seem dull and boring by comparison at least!
