Managed a quick visit to the stand in the morning and a chat to a couple of people. The car line up looked good.

The "damp" conditions slowed us down a bit, with some of the modern stuff benefiting from more suitable tyres and driving aids.
But as it dried out, we picked up the pace and hustled the RSs and R8s out of our way .

One final treat on the last session of the day, the V10 R8 giving passenger rides, piloted by the racing driver, appeared from the pit lane as I came down the straight.
I was interested to see his lines as we followed, but was also chuffed to be able to stick with him (just).
He probably wasn't going full chat, but he wasn't hanging around either .

No problem Chris, you're welcome to come and keep the passenger seat warm!

We took a couple the qOC guys (and girl) out, they all came back in grinning from ear to ear .
I suppose we get sort of accustomed to how quick it is and how well it goes around corners (although you always want more ).
So it was nice to hear that they were all astonished at the amount of grip and absence of the usual quattro understeer we have .

Thanks for the pic of my 80q Rob. Yes, it was a good day once the rain stopped. Good too to meet some of you on the stand. Sorry couldn't stay for longer, but wanted to make sure I got home after the alternator belt sheared on arrival. Made it back OK, with still plenty of go in the battery. Some great photos of the event have been posted - won't bother with my few as they'd only be duplicates. Hope to see you again at another one. Cheers for now. G.

Wiper Rack/Motor arrived yesterday, exactly one week too late.

Are we allowed to swear on here?
