just about to set off via the scenic route!!
Can't be a Sunday drive in a quattro! We're going A34 to Stone, A520 to Leek, then over Wetley Rocks and Flash up to Buxton. Then the A6 to Chapel en le Frith then across the A6187 through Hope and Brough then on to the A6013 to Ashopton and then Beer and maybe some banter!! Return journey is via the Snake Pass to Glossop and back in to civilisation down the M6! |

just got back from a very enjoyable lunchtime session. Everyone made it except Steve and JJ. Even Mr Hanman made an apperance all the way from Poole. Didn't take any piccies this time, was too busy quaffing some beer and generally chatting. Thanks to Rod for organising a great do, to everyone for their great company and to my lovely Jaytee who drove me home.
Highlights included Dave Small taking a wrong turn again, (note - avoid the sat nav with the Dave Small upgrade package), Phil for showing Jill photo's of his Dicky on his mobile phone, and Coxy dressed for a change in some fetching blue garb rather than his traditional brown! |

Nice to see you all, put pseudonyms to faces, etc.
A rather easy drive as far as Chesterfield, and then it started to go horribly wrong. I blame the satnav. It's not really satnav, it's the mickey mouse maps function on iPhone, but it gets the blame anyway. That and a combined conspiracy of a car boot sale near Chatsworth, with an antiques fare nearby! And to add insult to injury, the V8 chose the time running through/by chesterfield to miss a beat or ten. Anyway, now installed in Britannia hotel near Leeds Bradford airport for a week. Then woodford for 3 weeks. So if any yocals fancy relieving a soft suvna of stir-craziness over the next few weeks; I'm about.
