I'm glad you got the car Colin, it was very sad to loose Mike, I didn't know him all that well but we had been chatting via PM not all that long ago.

Anyway, I'm sure he'd be happy to hear you've now got the car running again.

Just read through this. I bought a 90 quattro off Mike last March and popped in to grab a few spares a few weeks later when I was coincidentally nearby with work. He had the 911 in the garage and was full of plans including the 20v swap.

A really nice man, very helpful and an encyclopaedia of Audi facts. I feel a weird attachment to the car and every time I do a little job or remove something I know he fitted I sort of wonder what he'd think - and I only met him twice!

I look forward to seeing what you get up to on this one - and I'll keep an eye out for the red 20v reappearing somewhere - I'm sure he said it had done about 300k miles!
