Audi coup[e B2 4 cyl to 5 cyl conversion
Hi Guys, Need a wee bit of help, I have the chance of a 4 cylinder B2 coupe and as some of you are aware that is just one cylinder short of love and trust me I need love in all my cars.
Never owned a 4 cylinder before so what is the problems with converting to 5 cylinders of love, From memory the engine mount need fitting for 5 pot, is the subframe the same at the front?, back beam, disc brakes, shocks and coils I have from 5 pot, will they fit?, any thing else that you could advise on would be most helpful. Thanks in advance. |

Front panel and subframes are definitely different. Not seen a 4 cylinder in the flesh but I believe the engine mounts are quite different and I would think the front body would need some fabrication, but not absolutely sure. Have a look at ETKA online, it shows the subframes and mounts on there.
