I've got loud exhaust on my S6 V10, but it makes very nice supercarish noise and only under acceleration..
But I know what You mean... These "tuned" Fiestas, Corsas and etc really make annoying noise. It really is the noise "pollution" and waste of time.
I have here few of them on every day morning - evening basis, as I live near the busy road. Especially there is one Mini Cooper S with such a loud/farting exhaust - You can hear for miles away.
And for whatever reason they enjoy accelerating and releasing the accelerator every 5 seconds, so it makes the pop/bang noise all the way.
Annoying and stupid.

Difficult to make a 4-pot sound anything near decent - all they *can* achieve is volume…

The stainless system ventilating my old KV, that sounded nice, but was pretty quiet by most standards, all these fartboxes with bean cans

Default Offensive exhausts.

I have a work colleague that has a £3k Akrapovic on his Golf R and it is the worst sounding exhaust I have heard, other than ones that are a straight through.
Flip side is my son has just got a Hyundai I30N and does sound good in N Mode 😉

Yes he still uses that 80 as a daily 😳

Still just the Kuga and Fabia for me, although not driving much at minute as off work after an eye operation. Kids have got better cars than their parents 😢

I cannot stand the pop bang brigade, in the old days you may have got the odd pop etc, but most of the time the over run bangs were a sure sign the exhaust was not sealed properly. We have a fiesta that looks like it’s crashed into Halfords with a pop bang remap, and I honestly don’t know how it doesn’t get on his nerves to drive it!
