type 81 & type 85 coupe gt compatibility

Hi All, just want to check that the bonnet, doors, wings, boot lid from a later type 85 coupe gt will fit a type 81 coupe gt? I know the later wings have an indicator hole, just want to check if there are any differences. Also is it true that a later seat will not fit an early car?

Hi Dave, all will work. There are subtle differences though, such as the bonnet seal at the front and the rear spoiler mount holes on the boot lid and obviously the door rubbing strips if not deleted. (But you know all this, I’m sure).

The seats have the adjuster lever on the other ‘hand’ (180deg out) so there’s no support bracket for it under the seat. It’s a simple weld or a Gerry Rigg job with cable ties etc.
