Very well put sir..........it's like you have been reading my mind.

All these "threats" and conditions they would like to impose (or as they say, include in the draft negotiations) would leave us back at square one and therefore it would be job done for them and a waste of time for us.

Let's just hope our team is strong enough to come away with what the UK voted for - exit from the EU must mean change.

What we need now is a referendum, to express the people's thoughts and feelings regarding paying any get-out fee, protection money, etc.

Voting slip could simply say-

Should we pay To No Longer be in their club?
yes......
No......

However, don't hold your collective breath

Re: Why are they being so churlish? Simple. With the EU it's all about them. They don't give a stuff about you, me or the hundreds of millions of other EU citizens. They will be losing circa £10 billion per year from their budget. This may affect the ability of their Gravy Train staying on the tracks. Less money for dodgy schemes, expenses, fat pensions etc, etc.

Looking at history the last time Europe gave us grief it was a thousand Lancaster's by night and a thousand B-17's by day that gave them an attitude adjustment.

Makes you wonder why we, and the U.S ever bothered keeping the Russians at bay for 45 years. Without the combined might of the English speaking members of NATO, Europe would be very vulnerable. Perhaps they need reminding of that.

Hmmm, I like all that above and what 4v6 posted up at the beginning . The more I see and read from our EU neighbours politicians, the more convinced I become of the the way i voted back last year.
